Energy and petroleum expert Dr Sajad Habib Rai has been selected as a panellist and speaker at the World CEO Summit 2026 Africa, where business leaders and policymakers will discuss investment, industrialisation and strategies for accelerating Africa’s economic transformation.

The two-day summit, scheduled for November 26 and 27 at Ocean View Arena in Dar es Salaam, is expected to bring together more than 1,000 chief executive officers, investors, policymakers and other business leaders from more than 50 countries.

Dr Rai, Resident Manager of Mansoor Industries Limited and a long-time adviser in the petroleum and energy sector, is expected to draw on his experience in energy, industrial development, investment and sustainability during the discussions.

Organisers said his contribution would focus on strengthening Africa’s productive capacity and using investment and strategic partnerships to support economic transformation.

“Dr Rai will provide valuable perspectives and experience on industrial development, energy, sustainability, investment and strategic partnerships required to strengthen Africa’s productive capacity and accelerate economic transformation,” the organisers said.

Speaking about his participation, Dr Rai said the summit would provide an opportunity to exchange ideas with other business leaders while sharing his experience on investment and economic development.

“I have received the invitation to the summit with great happiness. The goal is to contribute to our country’s economy and promote investment. As a patriot, I will learn a lot while also sharing my experience so that together we can build an economically self-reliant Tanzania and Africa,” he said.

The summit will be held under the theme “Uniting Leadership, Capital and Policy for Africa’s Transformation”, bringing together the private sector, governments and investors to examine ways of expanding trade and investment across the continent.

Key areas on the agenda include access to capital, industrial and business development, economic policies, technology and artificial intelligence, as well as energy and infrastructure.

Agriculture and food security, financial services, healthcare, real estate, sustainability, business growth, strategic partnerships, joint ventures and market expansion are also expected to form part of the discussions.

For Tanzania, the meeting comes as the country seeks to attract more investment and expand industrial activity, with energy, infrastructure and access to capital remaining important factors in supporting private-sector growth.
