Prime Minister Mwigulu Nchemba on Monday arrived in Tanga Region, where he is expected to officiate the climax of the National Education, Skills and Innovation Week.
Dr Nchemba arrived at Tanga Regional Airport on August 24, 2026, before heading to the event venue at Usagara Secondary School grounds.
He was received by Tanga Regional Commissioner Batilda Burian and Minister for Education, Science and Technology Prof Adolf Mkenda.
At the venue, the Prime Minister toured exhibition stands showcasing innovations, technologies and various projects developed and presented by participants.
The exhibitions have brought together different stakeholders in education, skills development and innovation, providing a platform to demonstrate how knowledge and practical skills can be translated into solutions to address challenges facing communities.
The event also underscores the growing emphasis on linking education and skills development with innovation, productivity and the needs of the wider economy.
For students and other innovators, the exhibition provides an opportunity to showcase practical solutions while exposing their work to policymakers and other stakeholders who can support its development and wider application.
