Absa Bank Tanzania used the 32nd International Nane Nane Farmers’ Exhibition to showcase banking products and services aimed at supporting farmers, entrepreneurs, students and other members of the public.
Held at the Dr. John Samuel Malecela Grounds in Dodoma, the exhibition provided the bank with an opportunity to engage directly with visitors and demonstrate how access to appropriate financial services can support economic activities and improve financial inclusion.
During his visit to the Absa Bank Tanzania pavilion, Minister for Agriculture Daniel Chongolo was briefed on the bank’s range of banking services and solutions.
The bank’s Head of Customer Network, Irene Mwilongo Msungu, and other officials also engaged visitors, providing information on available products and services and responding to questions from members of the public.
The pavilion attracted visitors from different groups, including farmers, businesspeople, students and government officials.
The interactions focused on helping customers better understand banking services and identify solutions relevant to their financial needs.
For farmers and small businesses, access to financial services remains important as they seek to manage cash flows, invest in productive activities and expand their operations.
The exhibition also provided an opportunity for Absa Bank Tanzania to facilitate account-opening services at its pavilion, allowing prospective customers to begin accessing formal banking services.
Dodoma Regional Branch Manager Deogratias Luena and other branch employees participated in customer engagements, while bank representatives also provided financial education to students and other young visitors.
The participation reflects the growing role of financial institutions in agricultural and economic development, particularly as Tanzania seeks to increase productivity, strengthen value chains and expand access to financial services.
Nane Nane, which brings together stakeholders from agriculture and related sectors, offers financial institutions a platform to connect with communities whose businesses and livelihoods are closely linked to farming and entrepreneurship.
For Absa Bank Tanzania, the exhibition therefore served not only as a platform to showcase its products, but also as an avenue for direct customer engagement and financial education.
