TotalEnergies Marketing Tanzania has expanded its retail network with the opening of a new service station in Kibaha, increasing its nationwide footprint to 125 outlets as the company seeks to improve access to fuel and energy services along one of the country's busiest transport corridors.

The newly launched TotalEnergies Kibaha Service Station is part of the company's strategy to strengthen its presence in Tanzania through continued investment in retail infrastructure while supporting local entrepreneurship under its Company-Owned Dealer-Operated (CODO) business model.

Speaking during the launch on July 9, the Managing Director of TotalEnergies Marketing Tanzania, Mr Mamadou Ngom, said the investment reflects the company's long-term confidence in the Tanzanian market.

"The launch of TotalEnergies Kibaha Service Station reflects our continued commitment to investing in Tanzania and expanding access to energy solutions. As the 125th station in our nationwide network, it demonstrates our ambition to bring safe, reliable and innovative services closer to our customers," he said.

Mr Ngom said the CODO model combines the strength of the TotalEnergies brand with the experience of local entrepreneurs, creating business opportunities while improving service delivery.

He commended station operator Mr Naftal Phillip and developer Mr Flavianus Momba for delivering the project to the company's operational standards, adding that TotalEnergies is seeking more partnerships with investors interested in developing and operating service stations across the country.

"We welcome more investors and entrepreneurs to partner with us in expanding our network and creating value for customers, local communities and the national economy," he said.

Mr Phillip described the partnership with TotalEnergies as a significant business opportunity, saying the station had already received a positive response from residents and motorists.

He said the facility would focus on delivering quality products and reliable customer service while contributing to economic activity in the growing Kibaha area.

Located along a major transport route linking Dar es Salaam with upcountry regions, the station offers Excellium premium fuels, TotalEnergies lubricants and digital payment services.

The company said additional facilities, including a Bonjour convenience store, a vehicle service bay and quick-service restaurants, will be introduced in the coming months to transform the station into a one-stop service centre for motorists.

TotalEnergies Marketing Tanzania has operated in the country since 1969, supplying petroleum products, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), lubricants and renewable energy solutions.

The company also supports access to clean energy through the distribution of solar lighting products under its TotalEnergies Access to Solar initiative.
