The Mining Commission has called on investors, miners, development partners, students and members of the public to visit its exhibition at the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), popularly known as Sabasaba, to explore investment opportunities in Tanzania's expanding mining industry.
Exhibiting at the Ministry of Minerals Pavilion at the Mwalimu Julius K. Nyerere Grounds, the Commission is showcasing Tanzania's mineral wealth while providing information on mineral rights licensing, investment opportunities, regulatory services and advanced mineral testing technologies aimed at supporting the growth of the sector.
The Commission's Communication and Public Relations Manager, Greyson Mwase, said the annual trade fair offers an important platform for engaging directly with stakeholders and increasing public understanding of the mining industry's contribution to Tanzania's economy.
"We invite all stakeholders and members of the public to visit our pavilion and learn more about Tanzania's abundant mineral resources, the investment opportunities available and the services offered by the Mining Commission," Mwase said in an exclusive interview.
"Our technical experts are on hand to provide guidance on mineral rights licensing, regulatory compliance, mineral testing services and the Government's ongoing initiatives to promote sustainable mining while attracting investment across the mineral value chain," he added.
Mwase said the Commission remains committed to increasing awareness of the mining sector and ensuring that Tanzanians and international investors benefit from reforms undertaken by the Government to improve the business environment.
He noted that visitors to the pavilion are receiving practical guidance on procedures for acquiring mineral rights, investing in mining projects and complying with Tanzania's legal and regulatory framework.
The Commission is also demonstrating its modern X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) laboratory technology, which provides accurate and efficient mineral analysis to support exploration activities, mining operations and investment decisions.
Beyond investment promotion, the exhibition is highlighting the importance of responsible mining practices, environmental conservation, occupational health and safety, and government programmes designed to strengthen small-scale mining through formalisation, technical training and improved access to support services.
Mwase said the exhibition reflects the Government's broader commitment to building a transparent, competitive and sustainable mining industry capable of creating jobs, attracting investment and contributing more significantly to national economic growth.
He added that the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair has become an important platform for strengthening collaboration between government institutions, investors, mining communities and the private sector while positioning Tanzania as one of Africa's leading destinations for mineral investment.
The Commission has encouraged all visitors attending this year's Sabasaba exhibition to stop by the Ministry of Minerals Pavilion to gain first-hand knowledge of Tanzania's mineral potential and the wide range of services available to support investors and other participants across the mining value chain.
