Mineral indicative prices for July 11, 2026

Gold producers and traders in Tanzania will continue to benefit from strong international prices after the Mining Commission set the indicative buying centre price for gold at TZS310,094.66 per gram for July 11, 2026, maintaining the precious metal above the TZS310,000 mark.

According to the latest indicative prices released by the Mining Commission, the international gold price stood at USD4,136.40 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS352,380.29 per gram

The domestic mineral market reference price was set at TZS317,142.26 per gram, while the buying centre price—the benchmark used by licensed mineral buying centres—was fixed at TZS310,094.66 per gram.

The pricing structure reflects the standard approach used by the Commission, where international market prices are adjusted to determine domestic reference prices before arriving at the buying centre price, which serves as the baseline for local mineral transactions.

Silver also remained stable, with the world market price reaching USD60.01 per troy ounce, translating to TZS5,112.26 per gram

The domestic mineral market price was set at TZS4,601.03 per gram, while licensed buying centres will use an indicative price of TZS4,498.79 per gram.

Copper, an important industrial mineral, was quoted at USD6.23 per pound on the global market. This equated to TZS36.39 per gram, with the domestic mineral market price standing at TZS32.75 per gram and the buying centre price set at TZS32.03 per gram.

The indicative prices provide a transparent benchmark for mineral buyers, sellers and small-scale miners across the country.

They are intended to guide transactions and promote fair pricing by linking domestic mineral trade to prevailing international market conditions.

For local miners, particularly those engaged in gold production, the continued strength of global prices offers an opportunity to earn higher returns, while the published benchmarks help reduce price disputes and improve transparency in the country's mineral trading system.
