The Tanzania Premier League Board (TPBL) has confirmed its readiness to closely supervise the final stages of the NBC Tanzania Mainland Premier League 2025/2026 season, emphasizing strict adherence to rules, regulations, and competition procedures as the title race reaches its climax.
The assurance comes after the completion of Match Week 28, where all 16 teams featured in simultaneous fixtures, a move designed to strengthen fairness, competitiveness, and transparency in the league’s decisive phase.
Speaking on the development, TPBL Communications Officer Yahya Abushehe said the board will maintain close oversight to ensure that all remaining matches are conducted professionally and in line with established league standards.
He noted that the league has now entered a critical period where every point matters, with teams competing for the championship, continental qualification slots, and survival in the top flight.
“The competition this season has been more intense compared to previous years. This has made the NBC Premier League even more competitive and attractive, despite the challenges that have been encountered along the way,” said Abushehe.
With only two matches remaining for each club, the final fixtures are expected to produce decisive outcomes, determining the league champions, the four teams that will represent Tanzania in continental competitions, the clubs heading into playoff positions, and those that will face relegation at the end of the season.
