Singida Big Stars (Singida BS) have moved to dismiss circulating reports linking the club with player transfers ahead of the next football season, insisting that no official recruitment process or negotiations with any players have begun.
In a statement issued by the club’s management, Singida BS clarified that recent reports shared across social media platforms and other informal channels suggesting imminent signings are false and should be disregarded.
The club further noted that it has not yet received the technical bench report, which is expected to form the foundation for key decisions on player recruitment, retention, and overall squad planning for the upcoming campaign.
“All information currently circulating regarding transfers should be treated as rumours and speculation, not official communication from the club. Official updates on transfers will be communicated at the appropriate time,” the statement read in part.
The management emphasized that any squad restructuring will only be undertaken after a comprehensive technical assessment is completed, ensuring that all decisions are guided by performance analysis and the club’s long-term competitive ambitions.
Meanwhile, Singida BS head coach Muhibu Kanu has expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance following their hard-fought 2-1 victory over JKT Tanzania in the NBC Premier League.
The match, played at the Major General Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam, saw Singida BS secure a valuable away win that boosted their momentum in the league standings.
Kanu praised the collective effort displayed by players, technical staff, club management, and supporters, saying the victory reflected strong unity within the Singida BS “family.”
“It was not an easy match. We faced a strong side playing at home, but the players showed determination and discipline to secure an important win,” said Kanu.
He added that while the result was positive, the team still committed several avoidable mistakes that will be addressed in training as they prepare for their remaining fixtures of the season.
Kanu further stressed that the club’s target remains finishing among the top four in the NBC Premier League, highlighting the importance of consistency and focus in the final stretch of the campaign.
