Simba SC wrapped up the 2025/26 NBC Tanzania Mainland Premier League season with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over KMC on Monday, confirming a second-place finish and securing qualification for next season's CAF Champions League.

The final league fixture, played at KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam, saw Simba dominate large spells of the match and earn all three points to conclude the campaign on 73 points.

The breakthrough came 10 minutes into the second half when Congolese forward Inno Loemba confidently converted a penalty in the 55th minute, handing Simba the only goal of the encounter.

The win capped another impressive league campaign for the Msimbazi giants, who maintained their place among Tanzania's top clubs despite falling short of the league title.

Their runners-up finish guarantees a return to Africa's premier inter-club competition next season.

With the domestic league now over, Simba's attention turns to the CRDB Federation Cup final against Azam FC, where they will have an opportunity to end the season with a major trophy.

After the cup final, the club is expected to begin preparations for the 2026/27 season, with ambitions of reclaiming the NBC Premier League title and mounting a stronger challenge in the CAF Champions League.

Simba's consistent performances throughout the season once again earned them a place on the continental stage, where they will aim to build on their recent successes and enhance Tanzania's reputation in African club football.
