Young Africans SC have made Tanzanian football history after securing their fifth consecutive NBC Premier League Tanzania title, following a commanding 3-0 victory over JKT Tanzania in the final match of the 2025/2026 season played on June 30, 2026, at Major General Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Young Africans SC entered the decisive fixture knowing that victory would confirm another league crown, and they delivered a strong performance from the opening whistle. The team started with high intensity, pressing early and controlling the rhythm of the game.
Their fast start paid off in the eighth minute when striker Prince Dube broke the deadlock with a well-taken finish, sending the stadium into celebration and giving his side an early advantage in a crucial match.
After taking the lead, Young Africans SC showed composure and control in midfield, dictating possession and limiting JKT Tanzania’s attacking opportunities. Their defensive structure remained solid, ensuring they went into halftime leading 1-0.
In the second half, the champions raised their level even further. In the 50th minute, Maxi Nzengeli doubled the lead after a well-worked attacking move, strengthening their grip on the game and pushing them closer to the title.
The victory was sealed in the 66th minute when Laurindo Dilson, popularly known as “Depu,” calmly finished to make it 3-0, completing a dominant display and effectively ending any hopes of a comeback.
JKT Tanzania attempted to respond with attacking changes, but they struggled to break through a well-organised Young Africans SC defence that remained disciplined and focused until the final whistle.
The result confirmed Young Africans SC as champions of the 2025/2026 NBC Premier League season with 75 points, underlining their consistency and dominance in Tanzanian football by winning the title for five straight seasons.
