Young Africans SC head coach Abdihamid Moallin has said his full focus is now on the final and decisive match of the NBC Premier League season against JKT Tanzania, following a convincing 3-0 win over TRA United that kept their title hopes firmly alive.
Young Africans SC will play their final league match tomorrow at the Major General Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam, in a fixture that will officially determine the 2025/26 NBC Premier League champions.
The match carries high stakes as Yanga aim to secure a record-extending fifth consecutive league title.
Moallin said preparations for the crucial encounter have already begun, stressing that there is no room for distraction at this stage of the season.
He acknowledged that the clash against JKT Tanzania will be highly competitive and physically demanding, requiring maximum concentration from his players.
“This will be a tough match. We need full support from our fans. They should come in large numbers to give the team energy and motivation so that we finish the season together with a victory,” Moallin said.
Reflecting on the 3-0 victory over TRA United, the Yanga coach praised his players for sticking to the tactical plan and securing all three points.
He noted that although TRA United showed good spells of possession and discipline, his side remained clinical and managed the game effectively.
He added that maintaining consistency and focus in decisive moments has been key to their strong campaign.
On the other hand, TRA United head coach Ettienne Ndayiragire admitted that his side’s defeat was caused by costly mistakes, which allowed Yanga to capitalize and control the match.
He said the team would return to training with a focus on correcting those errors and ending the season on a positive note.
“We will prepare well for the remaining match so that we finish the season with dignity and then start planning for the next campaign,” Ndayiragire said.
As the season reaches its final chapter, attention now turns to Dar es Salaam, where the final whistle will not only crown champions but also bring down the curtain on a fiercely contested NBC Premier League campaign.
