Mineral indicative prices for June 10, 2026

The Mining Commission has released the latest mineral indicative prices for June 10, 2026, providing updated reference values for gold, silver, and copper in both the world market and local Tanzanian buying centres. 

The announcement is aimed at guiding miners, traders, and buyers in determining fair market transactions while promoting transparency and stability in the mineral sector.

According to the figures issued by The Mining Commission, gold continues to command strong value in the global market. 

The world market price for gold has been set at USD 4,348.37 per ounce. In Tanzanian shillings, the world market price stands at TZS 367,504.96 per gram. 

The mineral market price is TZS 330,754.47 per gram, while the buying centre price is TZS 323,404.37 per gram. These figures provide a benchmark for transactions between miners and licensed buyers across the country.

Silver has also maintained significant value in the global market. The world market price for silver is USD 68.60 per ounce. 

In local currency terms, the world market price is TZS 5,797.84 per gram. The mineral market price has been set at TZS 5,218.06 per gram, while the buying centre price stands at TZS 5,102.10 per gram. 

These rates are expected to guide silver trading activities and ensure consistency in pricing across the value chain.

Copper prices remain steady in the latest update. The world market price for copper is USD 6.32 per pound. In Tanzanian shillings, the world market price is TZS 36.63 per gram. 

The mineral market price is TZS 32.96 per gram, while the buying centre price is TZS 32.23 per gram. The figures are intended to support fair trade practices and provide clarity for stakeholders involved in copper mining and trade.

The Mining Commission regularly issues indicative mineral prices to reflect global market trends and ensure that Tanzania’s mineral sector operates in line with international standards. 

These prices serve as a key reference point for miners, traders, and exporters in determining fair value and supporting government efforts to maximize revenue from the mining industry.

The updated prices for June 10, 2026, highlight ongoing movements in global commodity markets and reinforce the importance of transparent pricing mechanisms in strengthening the mining sector and supporting sustainable economic growth in Tanzania.
