The Office of the Attorney General of the Government has concluded its participation in the Public Service Week celebrations by strengthening access to legal services for citizens through direct engagement, legal education, and advisory services at its exhibition booth held at Chinangali Grounds in Dodoma from June 16 to 23, 2026.
The national event, which brought together various government institutions to showcase and deliver services to the public, officially closed on June 23, 2026.
The closing ceremony was officiated by the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office responsible for Regional Administration and Local Government (TAMISEMI), Prof. Riziki S. Shemdoe, who represented the Chief Secretary, Ambassador Dr. Moses M. Kasiluka.
Speaking at the event, Prof. Shemdoe called on public servants to maintain professionalism, integrity, and dedication in serving citizens.
He reiterated the importance of implementing President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s directives aimed at ensuring public services bring real impact and satisfaction to Tanzanians.
Throughout the week, the Office of the Attorney General used its platform at the exhibition to provide legal education and respond to a wide range of legal questions from citizens.
Members of the public were guided on issues such as land ownership, inheritance, and family disputes, which were among the most frequently raised concerns at the booth.
The initiative formed part of the Office’s broader commitment to ensuring that legal services are not only available in formal government offices but are also taken closer to the people in order to improve access to justice and enhance public understanding of the law.
Several senior government leaders visited the booth to learn more about the role and services of the Office.
