Ulega pledges professionalism and integrity in delivering government goals

Minister for Works, Abdallah Ulega has pledged to continue executing his duties with professionalism and integrity to ensure the government achieves its development goals through various plans and policy frameworks, including the 2025–2030 manifesto of Chama Cha Mapinduzi.

Mr Ulega made the remarks on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, while presenting the Ministry of Works’ revenue and expenditure estimates for the 2026/2027 financial year in Parliament in Dodoma.

During his speech, the minister expressed gratitude to President Samia Suluhu Hassan for renewing her trust in him by reappointing him to lead the ministry for another term.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Her Excellency Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, for continuing to trust me and appointing me once again as Minister for Works. I would like to assure the President that I will carry out these responsibilities with professionalism and integrity in order to achieve the intended goals through various guidelines and plans, including the 2025 CCM manifesto,” Mr Ulega said.

He also assured Tanzanians that the Ministry of Works would continue supervising the implementation of strategic infrastructure projects across the country to stimulate economic and social development.

The ministry is currently overseeing major road and bridge projects aimed at improving transport connectivity, easing movement of goods and people, and supporting the country’s broader economic growth agenda.
