Simba SC produced a dominant display on May 10 in the NBC Premier League, defeating Tanzania Prisons SC 4-0 at the KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam.

Simba SC started the match with strong attacking rhythm, pressing high and controlling possession from the opening minutes.

Their early pressure paid off in the 27th minute when Morice Abraham calmly converted a well-worked attacking move to give Simba a deserved 1-0 lead.

The Reds continued to dominate proceedings, and their superiority was rewarded again in the 42nd minute.

Clatous Chama showed great composure inside the box, finishing clinically to double Simba’s advantage and further stretch the lead before halftime.

Just before the break, Simba SC struck once more. In the 46th minute, Selemani Mwalimu found the back of the net to make it 3-0, giving Simba a comfortable cushion heading into halftime and leaving Tanzania Prisons SC with a difficult task in the second half.

After the restart, Tanzania Prisons SC returned with renewed determination, pushing forward in search of a goal to reduce the deficit.

However, Simba SC remained disciplined defensively, maintaining a solid structure and effectively neutralising all attacking threats.

Despite Tanzania Prisons SC increasing their tempo and attempting to break through, Simba’s defence held firm throughout the remaining minutes, ensuring a clean sheet and full control of the match until the final whistle.

With this important victory, Simba SC continues to strengthen its position in the title race, remaining second on the league table with 49 points.

They are still trailing league leaders Young Africans SC, who sit at the top with 54 points.

The result further highlights Simba SC’s strong form as the NBC Premier League season intensifies, keeping pressure on the top of the table in the race for the championship.
