The Dar es Salaam Regional Volleyball Association (DAREVA) League Board is tomorrow expected to hold a crucial meeting with association leaders and team officials to discuss key plans aimed at improving and strengthening volleyball competitions in the region.
The meeting, which will take place at KIUT College in Dar es Salaam, is expected to bring together League Board members, DAREVA leaders, team managers and coaches to deliberate on the future direction of the league and other volleyball activities.
Speaking ahead of the meeting, DAREVA League Board Coordinator, Nassoro Sharif, said two separate sessions have been scheduled to ensure all stakeholders are fully engaged in the discussions.
According to Sharif, the first session will run from 2pm to 4pm and will involve the League Board and DAREVA leadership, while the second session, scheduled from 4pm to 6pm, will bring together the League Board and representatives from participating teams, including managers and coaches.
He said eight major agenda items will be discussed during the meetings and urged all participants to arrive on time due to the importance of the discussions.
Among the key issues on the agenda are the presentation of the first-round league report, discussions on the direction and organisation of the second round, and DAREVA’s observations on challenges and areas identified during the first phase of the competition.
Sharif added that the meeting will also discuss the completion of remaining funds expected to be submitted to the League Board as well as proposals for restructuring future competitions, including plans for Serie B to operate independently from Serie A.
Other discussions will focus on creating space for additional volleyball activities in Dar es Salaam, including national team training camps, national team competition schedules and beach volleyball tournaments.
He noted that the meeting is expected to provide an important platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas and strengthen cooperation in efforts to improve the growth and management of volleyball in the region.
The meeting will conclude with an open session for additional matters before its official closure.
