Three stadiums are set to come alive tomorrow as the NBC Tanzania Premier League returns, featuring key matches across the country.

Defending champions Young Africans SC (Yanga) will clash with Tanzania Prisons at the KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam.

At the same time, Namungo FC will face JKT Tanzania at Majaliwa Stadium in Lindi, while Mashujaa FC meet Pamba Jiji FC at Lake Tanganyika Stadium.

Ahead of the game, Yanga assistant coach Matthew Silva expressed confidence in his squad following a brief break.

“We focused on recovery and regaining fitness. The players are ready and eager to secure a victory. We respect our fans and hope they turn up in large numbers to support us,” he said.

Yanga goalkeeper Twalibu Mshery added that the team has been working closely with the coaching staff to address mistakes from previous matches.

“Our preparations have been thorough. We are committed to fighting for positive results and will follow the coach’s instructions to achieve the team’s goals,” he said.

Tanzania Prisons head coach Shadrack Nsajigwa said his team is well-prepared despite the tough challenge ahead.

“We trained in Mbeya for five days and have now completed our final preparations. Tactically, we are ready and have no fear. While we aim for three points, even a single point will be valuable,” he said.

Captain Lambert Sabiyanka confirmed the players’ readiness and determination. “This is an important match that requires discipline. We will follow the coaches’ guidance and fight until the final whistle to secure a good result,” he said, emphasizing that despite past setbacks, the team remains hopeful of performing well and avoiding relegation.

Tomorrow’s matches promise high-intensity football as teams battle for points, pride, and position in the league.
