Authorities in Ulanga District, Morogoro Region have intensified road safety efforts as ongoing rains continue to disrupt transport and raise risks for road users.

Iragua Ward Police Inspector, INSP Ramadhan Abdalla, has been on the ground in Nyanya area assisting motorists and directing traffic following deteriorating road conditions that have affected accessibility.

The officer warned that persistent rainfall has made sections of the road unsafe for both vehicles and pedestrians, urging users to remain vigilant and take extra precautions to avoid accidents.

He advised travellers to delay their journeys during heavy downpours and resume only when conditions improve, noting that such caution can significantly reduce the likelihood of road incidents.

Inspector Abdalla also called on the public to comply with instructions issued by traffic police during the rainy season, stressing that cooperation is essential to safeguard lives, vehicles and other road users.
