Tanzania Police Football Club is ready to take on Yanga SC in the highly anticipated CRDB Bank Federation Cup match set for March 8 at the KMC Complex Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Head coach Mbwana Makata said preparations are on track, with players in excellent form and eager to make an impact in the crucial clash.

“This is a very important match for us. Yanga is one of the biggest and most respected teams in East and Central Africa, with many talented players. We will respect them, but we will not fear them,” Makata said.

He added that the team has devised a strategic plan to ensure a competitive and entertaining performance on the pitch. “We are aware of the challenge, but we are confident in our squad and ready to give our best,” he noted.

While acknowledging Yanga’s strength, Makata emphasized that the CRDB Cup is not currently the team’s main priority.

“Our main focus remains on the NBC Championship League, where we aim to achieve our seasonal objectives,” he said.

On the players’ condition, Makata confirmed that most of the squad are fit, motivated, and view the upcoming match as a perfect opportunity to showcase their skills against one of Tanzania’s top teams.

With the stage set, fans can expect a fiercely contested encounter as Tanzania Police look to make their mark against Yanga in the CRDB Cup.
