Top male and female boxers are preparing to light up the ring at the upcoming paid boxing event, “Punchi kwa Heshima,” set for March 21 at Kinesi Stadium in Dar es Salaam. Fans are expecting high-octane action as fighters aim to prove their dominance.

In one of the most anticipated bouts, Dar es Salaam’s female boxer Halima Ramadhan ‘Vunja Bei’ will face Sara Alex from Arusha.

Halima, who has been training intensively at Zingiziwa Chanika camp, expressed confidence, calling herself the queen of the women’s ring.

She said her opponent has been praised for her skills, but she is ready to showcase her superior technique and experience on fight day.

Supporters of Halima echoed her confidence, insisting that Sara Alex must be ready to face a masterclass in boxing.

“She has claimed fame and respect, but Halima is prepared to show her the real meaning of a tough fight,” said one fan.

In the men’s division, Ismail ‘Boyka’ from Pugu Mnadani will take on Sadick Abdulazizi from Ulongoni. Boyka stated that his opponent has gained attention recently, but he is determined to correct mistakes from his previous bouts and deliver an impressive performance.

“This time, I’m coming fully prepared to entertain my fans and demonstrate high-level boxing skills,” he said.

Fans are already rallying behind Boyka, with many pledging to turn out in large numbers to support him. “We have full confidence in him. We are ready to cheer him to a spectacular victory,” said Frank John, a supporter from Pugu Mnadani.

Organizers highlighted that the event will also celebrate International Women’s Day, offering a platform for female boxers to demonstrate their talent, resilience, and determination in the ring.

With passion, skill, and fierce competition on the cards, “Punchi kwa Heshima” promises to be a memorable showcase for boxing fans across Tanzania.
