After advancing to the Round of 16 in the CRDB Bank Cup, Singida Black Stars have turned their attention to a high-stakes Tanzania Mainland Premier League match against Simba, set for March 11 at Airtel Stadium.
Speaking in Singida, team spokesperson Hussein Massanza said the squad has resumed intensive training to prepare for the crucial league fixture.
He noted that the match promises to be highly competitive, with Simba having strengthened their squad and fans expected in large numbers.
“We lost our last home game, but we are working to correct the mistakes to ensure they do not repeat. This will also be the first time our opponents play at this stadium, and we extend a warm welcome to them,” Massanza said.
He urged supporters to fill the stands and witness an entertaining and competitive game.
Reflecting on their 3-1 victory over Songea United in the CRDB Bank Cup, Massanza described the match as technically demanding, as their opponents arrived well-prepared.
He added that the tournament requires sharp focus, where a single error can be costly, but the team capitalized on their opportunities to secure a decisive win and advance to the next stage.
Massanza concluded that the team’s ambition is to go as far as possible in the competition, aiming ultimately for the final.
