The Dar es Salaam Regional Volleyball League is heating up as teams continue to display fierce competition in matches over the past weekend.
Jeshi Stars secured a 3-1 win over rivals JKT, while the Air Force Volleyball Team suffered a 3-0 defeat against TPDC. In the women’s division, JKT dominated UDSM with a straight-set 3-0 victory.
Joseph Mwadua, Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Dar es Salaam Volleyball Association (DAREVA), told The Respondent Online that the influx of new player registrations has boosted competition compared to last year.
“Several teams have shown exceptional performance, forcing their rivals to continuously improve as the season progresses,” Mwadua said.
He also encouraged stakeholders and fans to attend matches in large numbers every Saturday and Sunday, highlighting the games as a source of entertainment and community engagement.
