Women employees of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) have demonstrated solidarity and support for girls’ education by donating essential items to students of Ngorongoro Girls Secondary School as part of activities marking International Women’s Day.
The visit formed part of ongoing efforts by women staff of the conservation authority to celebrate the day by engaging with the community and supporting female students with items aimed at improving their welfare and learning environment.
Speaking on behalf of the Conservation Commissioner, Principal Conservation Officer Sarah Lushu said the items donated included food supplies, soap, learning materials, sanitary pads, bathing utensils, as well as cooking and washing equipment.
She said the support was intended to bring smiles to the students while demonstrating the strength and unity of women in society.
Ms Lushu noted that the initiative is part of the authority’s broader efforts to strengthen relations with communities living within the conservation area and to support education, particularly for girls.
She said providing such assistance helps ensure that female students have access to basic necessities that allow them to concentrate on their studies and improve their academic performance.
The gesture by the women staff reflects a strong message of solidarity, showing that women can uplift and support one another while contributing to the development of their communities.
