Three matches will be played today in different venues as the race in the NBC Premier League continues to gather momentum.

One of the headline fixtures will see Simba Sports Club travel to Singida to face Singida Black Stars at the Airtel Stadium in a match expected to draw strong attention from football fans.

In another encounter, Azam FC will take on hosts Dodoma Jiji FC at the Jamhuri Stadium, while TRA United FC will face Namungo FC at the Black Rhino Stadium.

Officials and players from the teams have expressed confidence ahead of the matches, saying preparations have been completed and each side is focused on securing maximum points.

Head coach of TRA United FC, Etienne Ndayiragije, said the team is fully ready and determined to continue its recent progress.

He noted that the squad has shown steady improvement in recent matches and must maintain that momentum.

“Namungo are a good team and all Premier League matches are tough. There is no easy game. We understand the importance of this match and we have prepared well to fight for three points,” he said.

TRA United player Kapama Nassoro said the team is aware of the challenge ahead but remains confident of achieving a positive result.

“We respect our opponents because they are a strong side, but we are ready to compete and our target is to secure three points,” he said.

Assistant coach of Namungo FC, Ngawina Ramadhan, said the team has prepared well despite knowing their opponents have strengthened their squad with new signings.

“All players are in good condition and the technical bench will select the best starting lineup to ensure we get a good result,” he said.

Meanwhile, Hasheem Ibwe, Information Officer of Azam FC, said their match against Dodoma Jiji FC will be challenging as the hosts have proven capable of competing strongly against big teams.

“We will fight hard to restore the team’s morale and secure three points. The results of our last two matches were not good because out of the six points we expected, we managed to collect only two,” he said.

He added that all players are in good condition, with Feisal Salum returning to the squad, while Nassor Saaduni remains sidelined due to injury.
