Mineral indicative prices for March 24,2026

The Mining Commission has released the latest indicative prices for gold and silver, reflecting both global and local market trends.

Gold continues to hold strong in the international market, with the world market price standing at USD 4,481.25 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS 373,684.11 per gram

Domestically, the mineral market price is TZS 336,315.70 per gram, while buying centres offer TZS 328,842.02 per gram to traders and small-scale miners.

Silver, meanwhile, is priced at USD 67.23 per troy ounce on the global market, which translates to TZS 5,606.20 per gram. Locally, the mineral market price is TZS 5,045.58 per gram, with buying centres providing TZS 4,933.46 per gram.

Experts say the difference between global and local prices reflects costs associated with refining, transportation, and market demand within Tanzania.

Investors and miners are encouraged to monitor these rates closely, as they influence trading decisions and profitability in the sector.

The Mining Commission continues to update these indicative prices regularly to ensure transparency and support informed decision-making among stakeholders in the Tanzanian mineral industry.
