CCM Secretary-General heads to China to strengthen party ties

The Secretary-General of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), Asha-Rose Migiro, departs today for Beijing, China, for a six-day working visit following an invitation from the Communist Party of China (CPC).

The visit is aimed at reinforcing the historic partnership and close cooperation between CCM and the CPC. 

It also comes as 2026 has been officially declared the year for promoting social and cultural exchanges between China and Africa, providing a key opportunity to deepen friendship, share experiences, and build mutual understanding.

Migiro will be accompanied by a five-member delegation. During the visit, they are scheduled to hold discussions with senior CPC leaders to strengthen collaboration and explore new areas of partnership.
