Young Africans S.C. and Simba S.C. face off tonight in a high-stakes NBC Premier League clash at the New Amaan Complex in Zanzibar, with kickoff scheduled for 8:15pm.

The encounter, part of the NBC Premier League calendar, is expected to draw nationwide attention as the two rivals battle for crucial points in the title race.

Yanga head coach Pedro Soares Goncalves said his side had concluded final preparations and was mentally ready for the decisive contest.

“We started our preparations two days ago and today we are completing the final phase. The players are ready and highly motivated for this big match. If everything goes according to plan, I believe we will perform well,” he said.

The coach also provided an update on midfielder Pacome, who sustained an injury during Yanga’s recent continental match against JS Kabylie.

“It is true Pacome is injured. We all witnessed how he picked up the injury in our game against JS Kabylie. We are closely monitoring his condition and after the final training session today we will determine whether he will be fit and included in the squad for tomorrow’s match,” Goncalves explained.

Both teams enter the derby under pressure to maintain momentum in the league campaign. With pride, history and valuable points at stake, tonight’s showdown is poised to add another intense chapter to the country’s most celebrated football rivalry.
