The State Mining Corporation (STAMICO) and South Africa-based Plantcor have formally signed a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening gold exploration and mining activities in Tanzania.
The landmark partnership is designed to enhance research on gold deposits, improve mining efficiency, and increase the overall value of the country’s mineral resources.
Industry experts say this collaboration could play a pivotal role in boosting Tanzania’s mining sector and attracting further investment.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials, industry leaders, and distinguished guests, with Deputy Minister for Minerals, Dr. Steven Kiruswa, expected to officially preside over the event.
Through this agreement, STAMICO and Plantcor plan to leverage technical expertise, modern exploration techniques, and best practices to ensure sustainable and profitable mining operations in the country.
