The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Dr. Patrice Motsepe, arrived in Tanzania today to attend and chair a meeting of the CAF Executive Committee.
Upon arrival, Dr. Motsepe was officially welcomed by the Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports at Julius Nyerere International Airport, Terminal One, in Dar es Salaam.
The Executive Committee meeting is scheduled to take place later today at the Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam, The Kilimanjaro.
The meeting will bring together top football officials from across Africa to discuss strategic matters aimed at strengthening and developing football on the continent.
Tanzania’s selection as host of this important meeting reflects the country’s rising profile in African football administration.
It also comes at a crucial time as Tanzania continues preparations for the co-hosting of the AFCON 2027, an event expected to further enhance sports development, infrastructure, and international recognition for the nation.
The visit underscores CAF’s confidence in Tanzania’s capacity to play a significant role in advancing football both regionally and across Africa.
