Azam FC striker Salum Feitoto has confirmed that the team has arrived in Morocco fully focused on securing all three points against Wydad AC in their CAF Confederation Cup group-stage encounter set for February 15.
Speaking from Morocco, Feitoto said the Tanzanian side has made solid preparations and remains confident of progressing to the next round of the competition.
He stressed that their qualification largely depends on their ability to fight for maximum points in this decisive fixture.
The forward acknowledged that the match will be challenging, noting that Wydad AC have a squad filled with experienced players. Nevertheless, he emphasized that Azam FC players are fully aware of the importance of the game and are mentally and physically prepared for the task ahead.
“Reaching the group stage after collecting nine points is something we are proud of. Now our focus is on fighting for the three points that will take us to 12. With God’s guidance, we believe we can advance to the next stage,” Feitoto said.
Both Azam FC and Wydad AC are currently level on nine points, setting the stage for a high-stakes showdown.
The outcome of the match will be decided over 90 minutes that will determine which team secures qualification to the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
