President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, marked her birthday on January 27, 2026, by donating essential items to students with special needs at Mazinyungu Primary School in Kilosa District.
The gifts, handed over by Kilosa District Commissioner Shaka Hamdu Shaka, included mattresses, bed sheets, mosquito nets, soaps, special skin care oils for children with disabilities, and food supplies.
The event formed part of nationwide celebrations of President Samia’s birthday. Born on January 27, 1960, in Kizimkazi Village, Southern Zanzibar, the President has consistently advocated for the welfare of children and persons with special needs.
During the visit, the students also joined in cutting a birthday cake, symbolically celebrating with President Samia and recognizing her commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children.
The gesture highlights the President’s focus on inclusivity and social welfare, reflecting her continued efforts to uplift communities across the country.
