Residents of Kibaha in Pwani Region have expressed strong confidence that Tanzania’s upcoming general elections will be peaceful, fair, and conducted in an orderly manner.

Their optimism follows clear assurances from President Samia Suluhu Hassan that the government and security agencies are fully prepared to guarantee a safe voting environment for all citizens.

Speaking on October 15, 2025, local residents, including Mwinyimvua Kasosoma and Mwanaidi Stephano from Kwa Mathias, said they and their families are ready to participate in the elections and vote for leaders they believe will drive development and improve livelihoods.

The residents also underscored the importance of respecting election laws and guidelines. They urged voters to leave polling stations promptly after casting their votes and avoid actions that could disrupt the process, including demonstrations or political pressure from activists or leaders.

According to them, prioritizing peace and returning to daily economic activities is essential for community stability.

Tanzania’s general elections, scheduled for October 29, 2025, will decide the President, Members of Parliament, and Councilors. President and Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Forces, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has assured citizens of security and calm on election day, warning against any attempts to disrupt peace or commit unlawful acts.
