The Minister for Home Affairs and Karagwe parliamentary candidate, Innocent Bashungwa, has assured Tanzanians that the country’s security apparatus is fully prepared to safeguard peace and order during tomorrow’s general election.
Addressing the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM)’s national campaign closing rally on October 28, 2025, Bashungwa said security has been reinforced nationwide to ensure citizens exercise their right to vote without intimidation or fear.
“Tomorrow, October 29, everything is under control. All security organs under the Ministry of Home Affairs, in collaboration with other defense and security agencies, are on full alert across the country,” he said. “Peace and stability have been strengthened, so Tanzanians should confidently go out and cast their votes. Anyone who attempts to disrupt order will face the consequences.”
Bashungwa also appealed to young people to take an active role in the electoral process and avoid any actions that could jeopardize national harmony.
He noted that CCM’s election manifesto contains numerous initiatives designed to empower the youth, urging them to focus on opportunities that promote progress rather than being swayed by activities that could undermine peace.
