Tanzania’s national cricket team maintained its winning momentum at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier 2025 with a hard-fought nine-run victory over Uganda at Takashinga Sports Club in Harare, Zimbabwe.
The win, which follows Tanzania’s earlier triumph over Botswana on Friday, guarantees the national side a place in the semi-finals of the regional competition.
The match drew notable support from Tanzania’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe, H.E. CP. Suzan S. Kaganda, who led embassy officials in cheering for the team from the stands.
With two consecutive wins under their belt, Tanzania will now shift focus to their semi-final clash against Namibia on October 2 in Harare.
The stakes are high, as the qualifiers serve as the pathway to the prestigious ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The Tanzanian Embassy in Zimbabwe said it will continue rallying behind the team, underscoring the broader significance of the tournament in raising the country’s sporting profile on the international stage.
