Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO) yesterday joined grieving families, friends, and colleagues in a memorial service to honor the lives of its employees Fransic Kaggi and Elineema Kaggi, along with their siblings Janemary Kaggi, Mary Kaggi, and Joshua Kaggi, who tragically died in a car accident on September 14, 2025, in Msata, Bagamoyo District.
The service, held at KKKT Kijitonyama Church in Dar es Salaam, provided an opportunity for staff and loved ones to pay their final respects.
The burial of the deceased is scheduled for today, September 17, 2025, in Korogwe District, Tanga Region.
Speaking on behalf of TANESCO Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director for Electricity Distribution expressed deep sadness over the loss, describing it as a blow not only to the company but also to the nation’s workforce.
“This is a tremendous loss for TANESCO. These colleagues were highly skilled, dedicated, and played an important role in building the nation. Their absence leaves a gap that will be difficult to fill. On behalf of the Managing Director, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones. We stand with them in this difficult moment,” he said.
The company said it will continue to support the families during this challenging period, reflecting TANESCO’s commitment to its employees and their wellbeing.
