The Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism has called on its Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) experts to adopt digital systems in the execution of their duties to improve efficiency in data management, storage, and accessibility.

The appeal was made in Dodoma by the Ministry’s Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, Ms. Bure Nassibu, while closing a two-day working session that brought together officials to discuss and strategize the implementation of monitoring and evaluation of policies, plans, the strategic plan, and the ruling party’s 2025–2030 election manifesto.

Ms. Nassibu noted that while the use of digital platforms is crucial, staff must also uphold integrity and comply with public service regulations, stressing that the Ministry depends on them to drive progress in the implementation of its mandate.

She further urged the experts to work closely with leaders and employees across departments, units, and institutions to strengthen a shared understanding of the importance of monitoring and evaluation in everyday activities.

“Monitoring and Evaluation is a critical tool for ensuring that institutional objectives and planned activities are delivered on time as intended, contributing to the advancement of the Ministry and the nation at large,” she said.
