In a significant boost to wildlife conservation efforts, the Caribbean Naples Zoo from the United States has donated ten tents to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA).
The support aims to strengthen protection and conservation activities for white rhinos and other wildlife in the Ngorongoro World Heritage Site.
Albert Mollel, the Tanzania representative of Caribbean Naples Zoo, said the donation is part of a continued partnership to support sustainable wildlife protection, particularly for endangered species like the white rhino.
“Our goal is to provide practical support that enhances the work of rangers on the ground,” he said.
NCAA Commissioner Abdul-Razaq Badru expressed gratitude to the zoo for the vital assistance. He noted that the tents would help rangers operate more effectively in safeguarding rhinos and other wildlife across the conservation area.
“This contribution will directly improve our field operations and strengthen our conservation efforts,” he added.
The donation underscores the importance of international cooperation in protecting Tanzania’s rich biodiversity and the commitment to preserving species at risk of extinction.
