The digital platform PIKU, renowned for hosting unique and highly competitive auctions, has announced the addition of new and enticing items that participants can compete to win.

For the first time, PIKU auction participants will have the opportunity to vie for high-value prizes including cars, motorbikes, gold sets, smartphones, televisions, and luxury perfumes.

Speaking to journalists, PIKU’s Manager of Communications, Barnabas Mbunda, said that every 112 days, the platform will close the year with a grand prize: a Toyota Raum car, fully insured for one year, along with a fuel card, with a combined value exceeding TZS 30 million.

He explained that in PIKU’s “Gold Mine” auction, after 56 days, a winner will receive a pure gold set valued at TZS 6 million by placing a small and unique bid. The winner will personally visit the store to select the set of their choice.

“In PIKU’s ‘Zigo’ auction, after 28 days, the participant who places a small and unique bid will win a brand-new TVS motorbike, complete with a helmet, a six-month fuel card, and insurance. The total value of this prize is TZS 4 million,” Mbunda added.

Furthermore, he noted that in PIKU’s “Combo” auction, every 14 days, participants can win modern watches, luxury perfumes, and other items valued at TZS 1 million. The combo also includes a 55-inch LG television and a fully paid Airtel router for one year, with a combined value of TZS 2.4 million.

He continued to explain that during the weekly auction, participants placing a small and unique bid can win smartphones and outdoor speakers, with each prize valued at TZS 500,000.

Mbunda emphasized that adding these products to the auctions is part of PIKU’s strategy to expand its services and ensure that every participant has a chance to compete for life-changing prizes.

He further said that young people and adults aged 18 and above are eligible to participate in PIKU auctions by downloading the platform’s app, available on Android via the Play Store and on iPhone via the App Store.

“Participants can purchase tickets at affordable prices, starting from TZS 1,000 for 10 tickets, TZS 5,000 for 50 tickets, TZS 10,000 for 100 tickets, and up to TZS 100,000, with higher chances of winning for larger ticket bundles,” Mbunda explained.

He also noted that the PIKU auction has already produced winners. The first was entrepreneur Sabri Hamis from Zanzibar, who won prizes valued at over TZS 5 million.

Another winner, Jenipher Ayubu, received a double-door LG fridge, LG washing machine, microwave, food processor, electric stove, and a complete set of kitchen utensils, all valued at TZS 4 million.
