In the men’s matches, IP Sports fought hard but were narrowly defeated 3-2 by Moro United in a closely contested five-set battle.
Arusha Volleyball Club stamped their authority with a commanding 3-0 victory over Mipango, while Genesis proved too strong for High Voltage, winning in straight sets (3-0).
Meanwhile, Tanzania Prisons overcame JKT 3-1 in a match that highlighted their depth and experience.
The women’s division also delivered electrifying moments. Notorious stunned JKT with a confident 3-1 win, sending a strong signal to other contenders.
Korosho Queens started their campaign on a high note, edging out KIUT in a dramatic five-set thriller (3-2). In another tightly contested encounter, Bandari edged past Jeshi Stars with a 3-2 win.
The league was officially opened on July 25, with competitive action kicking off the following day. All matches are being held at the iconic MwembeYanga grounds, with the tournament scheduled to conclude on August 1.
