Simba Sports Club have officially secured the signature of Ghanaian striker Jonathan Sowah from Singida Black Stars on a permanent deal, marking one of the biggest moves in the ongoing 2025/2026 transfer window.
The confirmation was made by Singida Black Stars through a statement issued by the club’s Head of Communications, Hussein Massanza, who revealed that both clubs reached the agreement through special arrangements involving the Singida BS patron who also serves as the Honorary President of Simba SCnand the leadership of both teams.
“We would like to officially inform our fans and stakeholders that our key striker, Jonathan Sowah, has joined Simba SC. The management has approved the transfer, and we part ways with him on good terms,” said Massanza.
He added that the club is proud of Sowah's contributions and professionalism throughout his time at Singida Black Stars, and they wish him the very best as he embarks on a new chapter in his football career.
“We are grateful for everything he has done for our club. He was a vital part of our team, and we appreciate his service. As of now, he will not be part of our squad for the upcoming season,” he noted.
The transfer comes as clubs across the league intensify efforts to bolster their squads before the transfer window closes in September.
Simba SC are aiming to reclaim domestic dominance and make a deep run in CAF competitions, and the acquisition of Sowah is seen as a key step toward that goal.
Sowah, known for his pace, physical presence, and goal-scoring instincts, is expected to bring new energy to Simba’s attacking line-up.
