The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has invited members of the public to visit its pavilion at the 49th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), commonly known as Sabasaba, to access a range of tax services and enhance their understanding of the country’s tax systems.

Speaking shortly after touring the TRA pavilion on June 30, 2025, TRA’s Director of Taxpayer Education and Communication, Mr Richard Kayombo, said the authority is using the platform to bring services closer to the people and promote voluntary tax compliance.

“We encourage citizens to visit our pavilion to learn more about tax procedures and benefit from the services being provided on-site,” he said.

Mr Kayombo noted that services available at the pavilion include the issuance of Taxpayer Identification Numbers (TIN), tax estimation guidance, and education on various digital tax systems and payment procedures.

He underscored the importance of such outreach in building a tax-compliant culture and strengthening the relationship between TRA and the public.

Running under the theme “The International Trade Fair – Pride of Tanzania,” this year’s Sabasaba exhibition kicked off on June 28 and is scheduled to conclude on July 13, 2025, at the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Trade Fair Grounds in Dar es Salaam.
