The Minerals Commission has announced the relocation of its national headquarters to a newly constructed office building located in the Kilimani-Uzunguni area of Dodoma, effective June 27, 2025.
The Commission informed government institutions, private sector players, development partners, and the general public that it has vacated its previous offices at the Tanzania Geological Survey (GST) premises and the Chimwaga Hall complex.
The new offices are strategically located and easily accessible via the road passing near the Jakaya Kikwete Convention Centre.
They are also in close proximity to the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) bridge heading toward Ntyuka, offering convenience for both local and visiting stakeholders.
“All services offered by the Commission will now be provided at the new location during official working hours, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday,” the statement read in part.
The Commission extended an apology for any inconvenience caused during the transition period, and reassured stakeholders of its continued commitment to efficient and timely service delivery.
The relocation is part of broader efforts to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen institutional capacity as Tanzania continues to position itself as a key player in the regional and global mining industry.
