Engineer Maryprisca Mahundi has picked up nomination forms to seek re-election as a Special Seats Member of Parliament for Mbeya Region under the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party.

She collected the forms on June 29, 2025, at the CCM Women’s Wing (UWT) regional offices in Mbeya, as part of the ongoing nationwide nomination exercise ahead of the 2025 General Election.

Mahundi, who has served in the role for the past five years, said she remains committed to amplifying the voices of women, youth, and marginalised communities while continuing to push for social and economic development in the region.

“I am grateful for the trust placed in me over the past term, and I’m ready to build on that foundation to achieve even greater impact,” she said shortly after completing the nomination process.

The CCM nomination window, which opened on June 28, will run through July 2, 2025. It allows aspiring candidates to formally express interest in parliamentary and councillorship positions across the country.

Engineer Mahundi, known for her active participation in Parliament and various development initiatives, is among a growing number of female leaders seeking to maintain or assume leadership roles under CCM’s framework of inclusive governance.
