Jerry Paul Msangi has officially thrown his hat into the political ring after collecting the nomination form to seek the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) endorsement to contest for Member of Parliament for Same West Constituency.
Speaking shortly after receiving the form at the CCM district office in Same early Saturday morning, Mr. Msangi said his decision to vie for the position is driven by a strong desire to serve the people and build on the development milestones achieved by the outgoing MP, who has held the seat for nearly four consecutive terms.
“This is a defining moment for me and the people of Same West,” he said. “I am committed to continuing the progress that has been made and addressing the remaining challenges facing our communities.”
Mr. Msangi arrived at the CCM office at around 7:40 AM and was warmly welcomed by CCM District Secretary Amos Kusakula, who handed him the nomination form.
The moment was marked by cheers from his supporters, who believe his leadership will usher in renewed energy and inclusive development in the constituency.
The move adds Mr. Msangi to the growing list of CCM cadres eyeing parliamentary seats ahead of the 2025 General Election.
