The NBC Tanzania Mainland Premier League is set to resume tomorrow with a full slate of eight matches, all kicking off simultaneously at 4:00 PM across different venues nationwide.
Simba SC will be on the road to face Kengold at the Ali Hassan Mwinyi Stadium in Tabora, while title contenders Yanga SC travel to Mbeya to take on Tanzania Prisons at the Sokoine Stadium.
Azam FC will enjoy home advantage as they host Tabora United at the Azam Complex in Chamazi, Dar es Salaam. In Lindi, Namungo FC will welcome Kagera Sugar at the Majaliwa Stadium.
In other fixtures, Dodoma Jiji will go head-to-head with Singida Black Stars at the Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma, and Coastal Union will battle Fountain Gate at the Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga.
Speaking ahead of their clash with Tanzania Prisons, Yanga SC’s Media and Communications Manager, Ally Kamwe, expressed confidence in his squad’s readiness to secure all three points as they continue their push for a record 31st league title.
“Our players are in high spirits and fully focused on achieving our objectives. We know what’s at stake and we are prepared to give everything on the pitch,” said Kamwe.
Tanzania Prisons, on the other hand, are equally determined. Club Secretary John Matei emphasized that their goal is to earn crucial points from their remaining matches to steer clear of the relegation playoffs.
“We have two matches left, starting with a tough one against Yanga, a top side chasing the title. But we’re prepared to fight for three points or at least one to improve our standing,” Matei stated.
He added that the players are highly motivated and committed to helping the team retain its place in the Premier League.
