Following their recent Premier League victory over Singida Black Stars, Simba SC has now shifted focus to the CRDB Federation Cup, with eyes firmly set on clinching the title this season.
Simba is scheduled to take on Singida Black Stars once again in a high-stakes semifinal match set for May 31, 2025, in Babati, Manyara Region.
The full Simba squad departed today, May 29, 2025, for Babati to continue with their training program and finalize preparations ahead of Friday's crucial encounter.
Speaking ahead of the match, Simba’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ally, reaffirmed the club’s ambition to go all the way and lift the Federation Cup.
“Our goal is to win the title. We’re aware of the quality and strength of our opponents, but we must do everything in our power to overcome them and secure a place in the final,” said Ally.
He acknowledged the tough challenge posed by Singida Black Stars, describing them as one of the most competitive teams in the country, with a strong squad and talented players. However, he emphasized that Simba is fully focused on achieving their mission.
Training is set to begin this evening upon arrival, with final preparations concluding tomorrow in anticipation of the big game.
Ally also issued a rallying call to fans in Manyara and across the country to come out in large numbers to support the team and boost morale.
“We’re calling on our supporters both local and from outside Manyara to turn up in full force and cheer the team on. Their support will be crucial in helping us reach the final,” he added.
