Following their completion of the CAF Confederation Cup tournaments, Simba SC has shifted its focus to domestic glory, targeting the NBC Tanzania Premier League and the CRDB Federation Cup titles.
The club is set to return to action on May 28 in a Premier League clash against Singida Black Stars at CCM Liti Stadium in Singida. Just a few days later, on May 31, Simba will take on their next challenge in the CRDB Federation Cup, scheduled to be held at Tanzanite Stadium in Babati, Manyara Region.
Simba’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ally, emphasized the club’s determination to secure the two remaining titles this season after narrowly missing out on the CAF Confederation Cup.
“Our focus now is on winning the domestic double – the Premier League and the Federation Cup. We believe the path is clear for us to achieve this, given the quality of our squad. We respect our opponents, but we’re confident in our ability,” said Ahmed.
He added that despite the competitive nature of local rivals, Simba’s recent experience playing against top sides like RS Berkane has strengthened their resolve and prepared them for any challenge.
“We know our opponents will come in motivated and eager to win – that’s expected at this stage – but we’re not intimidated. We’ve just faced tough continental competition, so we are more than ready for what lies ahead,” he added.
Simba's Team Coordinator, Abbas Ally, echoed the sentiment, stating that the team is preparing thoroughly for the upcoming matches and is not taking any opponent lightly.
“We are approaching these games with seriousness and respect. Our goal is to win every match and bring home the remaining trophies. We’re ready to face anyone who stands in our way,” said Abbas.
With the international campaign behind them, all eyes are now on Simba SC as they look to complete their season with domestic dominance.
