The Office of the Solicitor General announces a national training program for State Attorneys, to be held from June 2 to June 4, 2025, at the AICC Conference Centre in Arusha.
The training will bring together legal professionals from Ministries, Government Agencies, Public Corporations, Regional Administration Offices, and Local Government Authorities from both Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.
The announcement was made today by Dr. Ally Possi, Attorney General, during a press briefing at the Solicitor General’s Office in Dar es Salaam.
He revealed that this year’s training will be conducted under the theme:“Legal Excellence for Tomorrow: Technology, Strategy, and Personal Accountability for State Attorneys in Advancing the National Development Vision 2050.”
Dr. Possi explained that the theme reflects the vital role of State Attorneys in promoting legal reform and supporting national development.
It aligns with one of the key pillars of Tanzania’s National Development Vision 2050 a resilient, inclusive, and transformative economy aimed at achieving middle-income status by mid-century.
“It is imperative that we provide strategic, forward-looking training to our State Attorneys,” said Dr. Possi.
“This will ensure they are equipped with the legal knowledge and specialized skills required to navigate modern challenges and contribute effectively to national goals.”
The 2025 training will cover a wide range of topics, including innovative legal practices, digital transformation in legal services, strategic leadership, and ethical accountability.
Participants will benefit from the expertise of renowned local and international professionals in law, technology, governance, and public policy.
The training serves as a platform for strengthening legal capacity across government institutions and ensuring that public legal services evolve in line with global standards and national priorities.
