Nzega, Tabora – The National Chairman of the CCM Youth Wing (UVCCM), Mohammed Ali Kawaida, has sounded an alarm over an alleged plan by a political party in collaboration with a civil society organization to undermine peace and stability in Tanzania.
Addressing a large public gathering in Nzega District, Tabora Region, on May 4, 2025, Kawaida claimed that the group is secretly coordinating efforts aimed at disrupting national unity and social harmony.
“I am issuing a serious warning to a political party and a civil society organization that are working together with the intention of causing unrest in our country. If they persist, I will not hesitate to reveal their names to the public,” he declared to a crowd of hundreds.
Kawaida called on the youth across the country to remain vigilant and resist attempts by ill-intentioned politicians to use them as tools for political chaos in exchange for money.
“Young people must not allow themselves to be manipulated with money to sabotage the peace, unity, and stability that our nation has long enjoyed. Instead, they should stand firm and reject such divisive elements,” he said.
His remarks come at a time when Tanzania is experiencing increased political activities in anticipation of future national elections and democratic engagements.
Kawaida emphasized that while political differences are expected in any democracy, they must be handled responsibly and within the law.
He reiterated UVCCM’s commitment to protecting the country’s peace and encouraged political actors and civil society organizations to focus on constructive dialogue rather than fueling unrest.
