Pamba Jiji FC has intensified preparations ahead of their pivotal NBC Premier League fixture against giants Simba SC, set to take place on May 8, 2025, at the KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam.
The team has already arrived in the capital from Mwanza, fully focused on the high-stakes encounter.
In their previous meeting earlier this season, Simba edged out Pamba Jiji with a narrow 1-0 victory at CCM Kirumba Stadium, earning all three points on the road.
Speaking to The Respondent Online on May 5, 2025, Pamba Jiji’s spokesperson Moses William expressed confidence in the squad's readiness and determination to deliver a strong performance.
“Our current league position is concerning, and we understand the urgency of the situation. We have four matches left, and this one against Simba is crucial for our survival. The players are motivated and fully aware of what’s at stake,” William said.
He confirmed that all 24 players in camp are fit and available for selection, adding that the team is praying for continued good health as they approach matchday.
“We’re expecting a tough, competitive game, but our players are prepared to give it their all. We ask our supporters to keep us in their prayers as we fight to achieve our goals,” he added.
Simba SC currently sits second on the league table with 60 points from 23 matches. Pamba Jiji, meanwhile, is 13th with 27 points from 26 matches making the upcoming fixture a must-win in their battle to avoid relegation.
